Officer / Executive – Purchase

Job Description

We are hiring an Officer / Executive – Purchase for Iron & Steel manufacturing operations.

The candidate will be responsible for procurement, vendor coordination, and import-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Research potential vendors and evaluate supplier quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and agreements with suppliers.
• Handle import and custom clearance coordination with CHA.
• Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain purchasing records and inventory documentation.
• Review quality of purchased materials and vendor performance.
• Coordinate with internal departments for procurement requirements.
• Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare bid documents and support supplier evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, legal requirements, and company policies.
• Work on ERP systems for inventory and procurement management.

Required Skills

• Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of contract terms, GST, and procurement processes.
• Hands-on experience in import and custom clearance activities.
• Experience with ERP systems such as QAD, SAP, or LN Infor.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management in ERP.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Understanding of industrial legal requirements related to purchasing.
• Strong accuracy and documentation skills.
