Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious 2nd Class Boiler Operator to operate and maintain steam boilers and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal boiler performance while complying with all safety regulations and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, steam systems, and related equipment.
- Maintain required steam pressure and temperature as per plant requirements.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance of boiler systems.
- Monitor water levels, fuel consumption, and chemical treatments.
- Record and maintain accurate logs of operations, pressures, temperatures, and maintenance activities.
- Detect and troubleshoot any malfunctions or irregularities in boiler operations.
- Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in emergency shutdown procedures and participate in periodic safety drills.
- Ensure compliance with local/state boiler regulations and inspection requirements.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams during repair or servicing of equipment.
