About the Role
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Developer with at least 3 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in backend development using Node.js, database management with MySQL, and deployment experience on AWS.
- You will play a key role in the end-to-end software development life cycle — from architecture and coding to deployment and mentoring junior developers at our Vapi office.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend systems and REST APIs using Node.js/Express.
- Database Management: Create and optimize complex relational schemas in MySQL for speed and data integrity.
- Cloud Deployment: Manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, API Gateway) and set up CI/CD pipelines.
- Front-End Development: Contribute to modern front-end projects using React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Code Quality & Reviews: Maintain clean, well-documented code and perform peer code reviews.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
- Mentorship: Guide mid and junior-level developers, promoting a strong technical culture.
Required Skills & Experience (Must-Haves)
- 3 years of experience in software development.
- Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and frameworks such as Express.js / NestJS.
- Deep experience with MySQL (schema design, query optimization, indexing).
- Strong understanding of AWS services for application deployment and scaling.
- Solid grasp of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
- Experience in building RESTful APIs and implementing microservices architecture.
Familiarity with Git and Agile methodologies.
Good-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of serverless architectures (AWS Lambda).
- Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
