The Senior Architect – Real Estate is responsible for leading the design, planning, and execution of large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. This role requires strong design leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver functional, aesthetic, and sustainable architectural solutions aligned with client expectations and market trends.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Leadership
Lead concept development, schematic design, and detailed architectural planning for real estate projects.
Oversee and review construction drawings, 3D models, and technical documents prepared by junior architects and consultants.
Ensure architectural designs meet functional, aesthetic, and commercial requirements.
2. Project Management
Manage end-to-end project design lifecycle, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to convert design objectives into practical architectural solutions.
Participate in design presentations, client meetings, and review workshops.
3. Technical Oversight
Ensure compliance with local building codes, bye-laws, zoning regulations, and environmental norms.
Review and validate structural, MEP, and landscape designs to ensure seamless integration with architectural plans.
Approve technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
4. Sustainability
Promote sustainable design practices and integrate green building principles into all projects.
Stay updated with emerging technologies, energy-efficient materials, and eco-friendly design solutions.
5. Team Collaboration
Mentor and guide junior architects; ensure high-quality output and knowledge sharing.
Work closely with engineers, contractors, consultants, and urban planners for coordinated project execution.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
6. Market Research & Innovation
Stay updated with global architectural trends, digital tools, and modern construction techniques.
Recommend improvements and innovative design strategies to maintain competitive project standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
Professional certification (COA, RIBA, AIA) is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of architectural experience with a focus on real estate development.
Proven track record of handling large-scale, high-value projects.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong understanding of BIM workflows and project management tools.
