Job Description

We are hiring a Transport Incharge for a Logistics and Transport company.

Candidate will be responsible for transportation operations, fleet performance, cost control, vendor management, and compliance activities.

Candidate should be capable of leading a team and ensuring efficient transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage transportation operations and optimize transport routes and costs.
• Ensure timely delivery and adherence to defined turnaround times (TAT).
• Maximize fleet utilization and monitor daily fleet efficiency.
• Manage driver attendance, leave records, and availability.
• Monitor driver performance and driving behavior.
• Prepare fleet performance and freight target reports.
• Coordinate with transporters, vendors, and suppliers.
• Control transportation costs and maintain budgets.
• Maintain GST, E-Way Bills, PODs, LR/Bilty, and transport documentation.
• Monitor validity and renewal of vehicle legal documents.
• Use Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as Fretron.
• Prepare monthly vehicle-wise performance reports and submit documentation to Head Office.
• Train and supervise transport team to improve productivity and performance.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in transport and fleet management.
• Knowledge of transportation operations, route planning, and fleet utilization.
• Hands-on experience with TMS software such as Fretron.
• Knowledge of GST, E-Way Bills, POD management, and transport documentation.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Good leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
